The Evidence Of Vaping & eCigarette Benefits Are Overwhelming

Here is a list of just a few recent studies that prove that e-cigarettes and vaping is better than smoking cigarettes:

1- Majority of US doctors say vaping or electronic cigarettes can eliminate smoking!

In this recent survey, 70% of doctors surveyed said that vaping with e-cigs can help patients reduce or eliminate smoking, and nearly half said that they believe e-cigs can reduce risk. Additionally, some 38% of doctors have recommended e-cigs to their patients who smoke.

2- Doctors telling patients to switch to vaping!

In this study of medical professionals and their perceptions of vaping and ecigs, the data is really clear. 85% of the medical professionals surveyed said that vaping is safer than combustible cigarettes and 77% said that they will tell patients an e-cigarette is an option. Furthermore, some 63% of medical professionals would definitely recommend vaping, while only 17% said that they were cautious and 6% would never recommend e-cigarettes.

3- Vaping as Safe as Nicotine Replacement

In a study published on February 7 in the Annals of Internal Medicine, we are learning that ex smokers who vape or use nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) are substantially less likely to be exposed to carcinogens than those who continue to smoke. More importantly the data shows no evidence that former smokers who use e-cigarettes and vaping exclusively are exposed to greater levels of carcinogens or toxins than those who only use nicotine replacement therapy. This clearly suggests that e-cigs and vaping are comparable to NRT for long-term safety and substantially superior to smoking.

4- Electronic cigarette vape induces significantly less cytotoxicity than tobacco smoke.

This scientific study was actually sponsored by the British American Tobacco Company, which manufactures both ecigs and regular tobacco cigarettes. The study showed that vaping was “97% Less Toxic than Regular Cigarettes”. Among many other findings, the research only found evidence of vapor toxicity when cells were exposed to an unrealistically high level of e-cigarette vapors.

5- Vaping found to be around 95% less harmful than tobacco.

In this astonishing landmark review by experts published by Public Health England (PHE) concluded that e-cigarettes and vaping is significantly less harmful to health than smoking tobacco. It further reports that vaping has the potential to help smokers quit smoking.

What’s more, the vaping study revealed the following findings:

  • the current best estimate is that vaping and e-cigarettes are around 95% less harmful than smoking
  • nearly half the population (44.8%) don’t realise e-cigarettes are much less harmful than smoking
  • there is no evidence so far that e-cigarettes are acting as a route into smoking for children or non-smokers
